I'm taking a break from Postcrossing. I've found myself overwhelmed with requests, and incoming cards, that I can barely keep up with them, and still have my regular life! So... please don't hate me, but I WILL be back!!! In the meanwhile, here is a card for you... one last time ;)

This is a card sent to me from my friend Raisa in Russia. She draws cards for me, and I love them all. This one in particular, because it's of MY original character Jeldwin (fairy princess banished to the mortal realm for falling in love with a human male...) and her human love Phillip. I love it oh so much :) Thanks again Raisa!

I got a request from Haomin Zhu on Facebook, and he requested I send him 25-30 cards. So, of course I did. He also requested that I send bookmarks, pens, and magnets. Helen found me on Facebook, and wanted to trade because we are both LDS/Mormon. I thought "What a small world!". So, of course I agreed to a swap :) I sent her an envelope with a few good cards, including one of the LDS Hawaii Temple. She got them today... how cool is that? I saw this card on a Facebook postcrossing group I belong to, and instantly fell in love. I like castles a lot, and really wish we still lived in an age of beautiful constructions such as these. Thank you Tamayre!

Stefanie Langenberg requested a swap with me through facebook :) It's awesome. I like it a lot! Apparently it's of a city of about 160,000 inhabitants in Lower Saxony, Germany. It was founded around 780 AD, and played a major role at the end of the 30 year war in 1648. The peace treaty to end that war was signed in Osnabnick and Munster :) Thank you Stefanie!

This next envelope came with an awesome surprise for me. It's Sleeping Beauty's castle in France!! 3 pages of information about the castle, a couple pictures of the mannequins inside the castle, and a postcard of Disneyland Paris, with an awesome cutout of Mickey's head ;) How cool!! I got this absolutely beautiful card in the mail today. Henri Toulouse-Lautrec is one of my favorite artists. My mother took one of his paintings and painted onto a window at my aunts house when I was a baby, and it's still there to this day. I miss that window... Anyway, thank you Thomas! Then I got this huge brown package from Larissa Tavares in Brasil, with all of this in it. 5 postcards, 1 pamphlet, and a large map that opens up... I don't know what I did to deserve such love from my friends around the world, but thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

This is all so wonderful, and I'm sorry it took so long to get this all uploaded, but as you can imagine, it too a while to scan and upload everything... I'm even missing the beginning of Glee to finish this post! haha. Thank heavens for the ability to record my favorite TV shows, haha!

There's been a slowdown of cards coming to me in the mail lately :( I don't think I'm too happy about that... I think Postcrossing supporters (people who have donated to the website, such as I), should have unlimited amounts of sending capability... or maybe just a number boost for a year? Like... you support Postcrossing = you get 1 year of being able to send 10 extra cards... what do you think? hahaha! I think that would be awesome...

Plus, I'm thinking of starting another blog and trying to get the word out about wanting Mormon Temple cards... maybe if I request JUST those, I could finally get more??? I wonder if there's a way to get the word out to other members of the church... hm...

So, now that I have time to do this, I'll update... first, let's just show you the cards:

The first one is a reply card from Mimi. I sent her this card and she sent me that card :) Beautiful, isn't it? Thank you Mimi!

The second is a direct swap from Clare in England :) I haven't emailed her yet to tell her I got it... I guess I should do that after I'm done here....

The third one is from my friend Stella back home in South Africa. She sent me that other card a while ago, and I was a bit surprised to find a second one in my mailbox this week. Oh how I miss the jacaranda trees, and the smell they protrude :) I remember driving down streets like the one on the right middle of the postcard... just hearing the flowers pop under the tires, and smelling the pungent oder... so beautiful!

The fourth one is a thank you card from Elizabeth. I sent her a Star Wars card through sendsomething.net and that Christmas "peace out" was her reply card :) Thank you again Elizabeth!

I have a friend that I've known since primary/elementary school, who grew up to be an air hostess. She travels all around the world, and see's the most amazing places. We found each other on Facebook a while back, and since then have caught up on old times. She emailed me one day asking if she could send me a few cards from her travels, and if you know anything about me, how could I say no? So, yesterday, I got this card in the mail from Switzerland.
Hopefully it's the first of many from Jolene's marvelous travels ;)
This next one is from Jim (Bodhisurfer) from Walltype. A beautiful picture that he had taken on a walk one day of a bridge at Calstock in Cornwall. The bridge holds a single track railway and crosses from Cornwall into Devon. Beautiful :)

I also got a Christmas card from Chris ;) Oh Chris, you know how I *heart* you, haha. I hope you get my Christmas card soon...

Then I got, yet another great envelope from Stanislav. I don't know what I ever did to deserve such amazing cards sent to me from such an awesome person... I feel like I haven't sent enough cards in return to make up for all these astounding cards.

I got 8 cards in the mail yesterday! Yea, 8!! Two of them were for postcrossing, so they won't be posted here, but one of them, was the second card from Maggie in England. It's a mermaid to go with the giant and pixie :D How awesome is that!? I LOVE it! Thank you again Maggie! The only problem with it? The stamp fell off somewhere in transit :( It made me sad...

This next card was sent to me by Ellen de Boer, who I had sent a card for her Postcards by Night blog. This is a really cool card. It makes me want to go to Holland even more, haha!

Then, I will admit that I've been a bit lazy the past couple days. I've been preparing for what happened to me this morning. I got all four of my wisdom teeth out, and have been freaking out just a little bit because of it. But it's alright, so far it's bearable. I'm alive, haha.
So, here is a card I got earlier in the week from Abdullah in Saudi Arabia. He had reqeusted a private swap... I wonder if he's gotten my card yet?

It's a traditional dance of people living in the Sout part of Saudi Arabia. It's called Jizan, 500 miles away from where he lives. He even wrote my name in Arabic! It looks so cool!!! Thank you Abdullah!

I LOVE getting mail!! Have I ever told you that?! Well, I DO! And today, I got 3 PRIVATELY swapped cards in my mail box! The first is from "The Snail Mailer" in Pennsylvania :D

The second is from Tomomi, a 28 year old woman who has asked to trade with me, and in return has told some of her friends to trade cards with me too! I'm excited to receive their cards soon! Plus, she picked the PERFECT card! I <3 Disney! lol

And this last one I really appreciate. It's from James Polson in Omaha, NE. He and his wife are Temple workers at the Winter Quarters out there... Oh how I love my fellow Latter Day Saints!

I got this card from Russia the other day... and don't remember if it's a private swap... it has no Postcrossing ID on it either... so I have no idea. I tried finding a "lost ID", but postcrossing didn't have it... so, I'm thinking it was a private swap, but I don't remember where they requested to swap from... Postcrossing, or facebook?!?! Ugh, I'm sorry! If you read this and see it's your card, let me know! haha

Dental Love

So... I get these postcards in the mail from the Wahiawa Family Dental Care office... and they all pretty much say the same thing "We want your business"... Even though I already have another dentist, it's still fun to get these postcards :) They've sent some good ones. Here are the only 2 I can find right now, but they've also sent some for the 4th of July, and Christmas and stuff... it's quite fun! lol

About a month or so ago, I participated in a "Postcard Exchange"... kind of like an old school chain letter, where you get a postcard with a list of 4 names/addresses. Then, you send a card to the first person on the list, cross their name out, and add your name to the bottom of the list, and send it out, with a postcard to 10 random people. Eventually, you're supposed to get 10 cards back, and only recently have I started to get some in return. Here is one I got yesterday:

I so love India, and would like to travel there one day. If not for the sights, then most definitely for the spices, and materials. I love curry... the smell is just exotic all on it's own! And the materials are so rich in color, that I would wear nothing but sari's if I could! But I'm afraid I might look funny in them...
